Procedural Overview Flow

Low-Level Reviews

  1. If concern is received and does not fall under SGAP or is most appropriately handled elsewhere:
    • Concern  > Associate Dean > Concern Dismissed or Referred
  2. If responsible under Low-Level Review and Student Group accepts:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Low-Level Review > Formal Warning
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Low-Level Review > Corrective Action Plan
  3. If responsible under Low-Level Review and Student Group does not accept:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Low-Level Review > Group Contests > Mid-Level Review
      • See Mid-Level Review section
      • During Mid-Level Review, facts of the case may also warrant the case be moved to High-Level Review (formal investigation). In which case, see High-Level Review section.

Mid-Level Reviews

  1. If responsible under Mid-Level Review and Student Group accepts:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Mid-Level Review > Restorative Action
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Mid-Level Review> Mid-Level RTA
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Mid-Level Review > Mid-Level Hearing
  2. If responsible under Mid-Level Review and Student Group does not accept:
    • Mid-Level Review > Mid-Level Hearing
      • Mid-Level Hearing > Responsible > Accept Responsibility
      • Mid-Level Hearing > Not Responsible > Case Closed
      • Mid-Level Hearing > Responsible > Appeal to Senior Associate Vice Provost of Student Affairs/Dean of Students
  3. If not responsible under Mid-Level Review:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > Mid-Level Review > Not Responsible > Case Closed
  4. During Mid-Level Review, facts of the case may also warrant a High-Level Review (formal investigation) or be moved to a Low-Level Review. In which case, see High-Level Review and Low-Level Review sections, respectively.

High Level Reviews

  1. If responsible under High-Level Review (Formal Investigation) and Student Group accepts:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > High-Level Review (Formal Investigation) > High-Level RTA
  2. If responsible under High-Level Review and Student Group does not accept:
    • Concern > Associate Dean > High-Level Review (Formal Investigation) > Responsible > High-Level Hearing
      1. High-Level Review (Formal Investigation) > High-Level Hearing
        1. High-Level Hearing > Responsible > Accept Responsibility
        2. High-Level Hearing > Not Responsible > Case Closed
        3. High-Level Hearing > Responsible > Appeal to Vice Provost of Student Affairs
  3. If not responsible under High-Level Review (Formal Investigation):
    • Concern > Associate Dean > High-Level Review (Formal Investigation) > Not Responsible > Case Closed
  4. During High-Level Review (Formal Investigation), facts of the case may also warrant a move to Mid-Level Review or Low-Level Review. In which case, see Mid-Level Review and Low-Level Review sections, respectively.
