Students, staff and faculty serve important roles in the student conduct process. They may serve Hearing Panelists and Conduct Counselors as described in the Student Conduct Charter of 2023 and Student Group Accountability Process. There are also opportunities to serve on the Board of Conduct Affairs.

Who May Join

Stanford students, staff and faculty are encouraged serve on as panelists, conduct counselors, and on the Board on Conduct Affairs.

How to Join

Students

Students serving on the Panel Pool and Board of Conduct Affairs are jointly appointed by the Undergraduate Senate and Graduate Student Council of the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU), and may indicate an interest in joining by working with the ASSU's Nominations Commission (NomCom).

Staff

Staff serving on the Panel Pool and Board of Conduct Affairs may indicate an interest in joining by contacting the Office of Community Standards. OCS will facilitate the appointment process.

Faculty

Faculty serving on the Panel Pool and Board are appointed by the Senate of the Academic Council (Faculty Senate), and may indicate an interest in joining by contacting the Faculty Senate's Chair or its Committee on Committees.
